About Me
I hold a B.A. in Psychology from Brown University and a Master’s degree from Harvard University from the department of Human Development and Psychology.
I hold a doctorate (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies. I chose to attend CIIS because of its blend of Eastern and Western perspectives. I wanted an education that was both experiential and inclusive of different worldviews in order to better understand concerns of body, mind, and spirit.
I am licensed in the state of California: PSY24253
I have worked in a variety of settings with clients from preschool all the way through older adult. I believe that my exposure to and understanding of different stages of development helps in my work with all of my clients.
The settings I have worked in thus far have included: a residential treatment center; community mental health centers for children, adults, and families; outpatient clinics; an urban early childhood development center; and rural schools. Currently, I am working as a clinical psychologist/psychotherapist in private practice in Berkeley. I see children, adolescents, and adults in therapy. I am also the Mental Health Director at a preschool in Oakland, called Blue Skies for Children. I conduct educational and psychological assessments through Clearwater Counseling and Assessment Services in Oakland, CA.
The foundation for my training has been in psychodynamic/relational theory and I have supplemented this with training in family systems, narrative, behavioral, and mindfulness-based modalities. It has always been my goal to learn as many different tools as I can, and to learn them as best I can, in order to offer and apply the most appropriate techniques to those I serve.
